I tried to find any article available for ejabberd install on solaris and found none. That's why decided to write one.

ejabberd is chat server based on XMPP protocol written in erlang. Following things you need to install it on solaris 10.

1. gcc
2. gmake
3. Openssl
4. Unix ODBC
5. ar
6. erlang
7. ejabberd.

Here are the steps:

1. It's really hard to complie everything by hand. What I did is took help of blastwave to install erlang. Now I will download ejabberd and compile it & finally install it.
